Account, plan, and agency billing questions
Find out what your subscription covers, how client billing works, and what happens when you change plans.
Updated
View as MarkdownCurrent RightMessage subscriptions are billed per project. Your organization gets one 14-day trial, on its first project, and each project you add after that is charged when you set up its billing. If you have a legacy subscription or an agency-managed client account, your billing arrangement can be different. Check the selected project's billing page before changing plans.
What does my trial include?
Every Pro feature. A trial from the ordinary no-card signup runs on Pro until its deadline, whichever plan you picked. The plan only decides what you'll be charged when the trial ends, and only once you confirm it with a card in the trial billing dialog.
If you don't confirm a plan, the trial ends: publishing is blocked and your account is locked until you add a card. If you confirm a plan below Pro, features that plan doesn't include come off your live site when the trial ends and stay in your draft. What happens to live features when your plan drops has the details.
Does one subscription include all my client projects?
No, not under current per-project billing. Each unrelated client business needs its own project and subscription. Visitors, contacts, forms, flows, and team members don't change the current per-project price.
Legacy account-wide subscriptions have different limits. An old bundled-project agreement doesn't apply to a new project subscription, and older accounts don't all have to move to per-project billing. Check the billing summary for the account you're using.
Can my client pay while my agency manages the setup?
Yes. With an agency-enabled account, you can send a managed signup link. Your client completes signup and billing and pays full price for their projects. You earn your affiliate commission on them, and keep it if your access later ends. You can then open their project from Your account > Clients & invitations.
Projects your agency organization pays for itself are billed with the agency discount, currently 20% off, and don't get a trial.
An existing project owner can also invite collaborators. That doesn't transfer ownership or make your agency responsible for the subscription. Agree with your client on who handles implementation and maintenance.
Can my agency move a project it built into my client's account?
Yes. From the project's Plan & billing, hand it off to your client on the plan you choose. Once they accept, the project moves to their account and they pay for it directly at full price. Your agency keeps access, and if it was paying for the project, that subscription ends with a credit for the unused time.
Why does my account show an old package name?
Your account may still use a legacy package, such as CTA Only or CTA + Personalize. Its actual prices, visitor thresholds, and included features come from your subscription. Eligible accounts can choose View new plans to compare current tiers.
Some legacy price patterns include more features than today's plan with a similar name. Check the controls available in your project and ask support to confirm your account's terms before changing an older subscription.
Which plans include A/B testing?
Question, form, offer, and flow split tests are on every plan, including Grow. You'll find them under Optimize > A/B Testing, on the flow canvas, and on a question's or offer's test tab.
Campaign A/B tests, on an audience or on the Original page, need Pro. Scale includes campaigns and the campaign holdback, which compares personalized visitors with visitors who see your page as it is ("Campaign vs holdback"). Legacy accounts can include different features, and legacy (pre-v2) plans can start campaign A/B tests.
Do lead alerts cost extra?
Lead alerts are on every plan, and every project gets up to 1,000 alerted people a month free through November 21, 2026. After that, Pro and legacy plans billing $399 a month or more include 1,000 a month. On other plans, you buy a lead alerts volume for each project that needs one, billed separately from the plan. Visitor profiles in People stay on Pro.
You pay for people you're alerted about, not traffic: each person counts once a month, and matches past your limit are held rather than charged. Alerted leads and volume has the prices, and Change your lead alerts volume the steps.
How do I compare current plans?
Choose Change plan on your billing page (Project settings > Plan & billing, or Your account > Billing on a legacy plan) to compare Grow, Scale, and Pro.
- Choose Monthly or Annual.
- Choose Show full feature comparison to expand the table. Hide full feature comparison collapses it.
- Review the actual amount and annual total before confirming.
See current pricing for public prices and plan management for the steps. An assigned offer can restrict your choices.
What happens if I choose a lower plan?
The final confirmation says the downgrade takes effect immediately and billing is prorated. Review which features your project will lose before proceeding.
- Choose Switch to the lower tier.
- Read the lost-feature list in Before you go.... Accept Offer - Contact Support opens an email requesting the displayed retention offer. It doesn't apply a discount.
- To downgrade instead, choose Continue with downgrade.
- In Quick question, you can choose Too expensive, Not using the features, Switching to another tool, Just need a break, or Other. Answering is optional.
- Choose Continue to open Confirm plan change, or Back to return to the offer.
- Choose Switch to the named tier to proceed, or Cancel to keep your existing plan.
Features your new plan doesn't include come off your live site automatically and stay in your draft. Moving below Pro stops running campaign A/B tests on your site. Moving to Grow also takes campaigns, their holdbacks, and conversion goals off your site. Without Pro, you can still end a test, deploy its winner, and undeploy it. Starting or restarting a campaign A/B test needs Pro again, and if you upgrade later, publish to put the removed features back on your site. Question, form, offer, and flow split tests keep running on every plan.
Canceling a subscription is a separate billing action.
Why am I blocked by an upgrade screen?
The screen distinguishes an expired trial, an ended subscription, and a payment that needs attention. Only the project owner or billing manager can resolve billing. If you're another collaborator, ask the owner or switch to a project you can access.
When a no-card trial ends without a confirmed plan, the dashboard shows Your trial ended on date instead, with Enter your card details or Confirm your plan to pick up where you left off. See when your trial ends without a plan.
For a failed payment, use the existing invoice recovery steps rather than creating another subscription to dismiss the screen. See payment troubleshooting.
