Privacy Policy

Learn what information RightMessage collects, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

RightMessage collects information you provide directly, along with technical and usage information generated when you use our websites and services. We use this information to operate, secure, and improve our services; understand how they are used; and personalize our website as described below. We may publish aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not identify you.

If you are not an email subscriber or customer, we generally do not use your activity on our website to identify you by name. We may still collect information such as your referral source, landing page, content viewed, browser or device information, and other events generated while you use the website.

If you are an email subscriber or customer, we may use cookies or browser storage to associate your browser with the subscriber or customer record held in systems we use. This helps us avoid asking for information we already have and lets us personalize our website. The resulting profile may include website activity, survey or assessment responses, and purchase information where available.

When we ask you to provide personal information, we will indicate which information is required and which is optional. You may decline to provide optional information, although doing so may limit certain features or services.

RightMessage uses cookies and local storage for the purposes described in this policy. You can control these technologies through your browser settings, but blocking them may prevent some website or service features from working as intended.

The sections below provide more detail about the information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to you.

Visitors

Like most website operators, RightMessage collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. RightMessage collects this information to better understand how visitors use its website. From time to time, RightMessage may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, such as a report on website usage trends.

RightMessage also collects potentially personally-identifying information such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. RightMessage does not use this information to identify visitors and does not disclose it except under the same circumstances in which it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below. We may also use IP addresses to block users who violate our Terms of Service.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to RightMessage’s websites choose to interact with RightMessage in ways that require RightMessage to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that RightMessage gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. RightMessage collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with RightMessage. RightMessage does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Service-related activities.

Some interactions, such as posting a comment, may ask for optional personal information. For example, when posting a comment, you may provide a website that will be displayed with your name. Providing this information is optional and is displayed for the benefit and convenience of the user.

Aggregated Statistics and Third Party Analytics Providers

RightMessage may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to and users of the Service. For instance, RightMessage may monitor the most popular parts of the RightMessage Site. RightMessage may display this information in the aggregate publicly or provide it to others.

RightMessage may also collect information from you, your use of the Service, or users of your website, including churn rates, financial data and revenue, conversion rates, and other business metrics (collectively, “Data”). RightMessage may publish Data in aggregate form through the Site or blog, such as a report on average churn rates. Aggregated Data published in this way will not identify you, your website, your company, or your users, or otherwise link the published information to you. To opt out of publication of aggregated Data, contact support@rightmessage.com.

RightMessage may also use third party analytics providers and products, such as Amazon (collectively, “Third Party Providers”), to obtain, compile and analyze information (that may include personally-identifying information) about how users are using and interacting with RightMessage and/or the Services. Such information is compiled in the aggregate and anonymized (i.e. the aggregated data will not personally identify users in any way) and provided to Third Party Providers for analytics purposes only (e.g. obtaining statistics and other information about how users are using and interacting with RightMessage). These Third Party Providers may use a variety of established or new technologies or tools (including, without limitation, cookies, web beacons, HTTP cache, local shared objects and persistent identifiers) to recognize your computer or device and/or to collect or compile this information. You understand and acknowledge that RightMessage has no control over the technologies, tools or practices of the Third Party Providers providing analytics products and services to RightMessage.

RightMessage does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

RightMessage discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on RightMessage’ behalf or to provide services available at RightMessage’ Site websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using the Service, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. RightMessage will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, RightMessage discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when RightMessage believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of RightMessage, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of the Service and have supplied your email address, RightMessage may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with RightMessage and our products. We primarily use our website and blog to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. RightMessage takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Cookies

RightMessage uses cookies to identify and track visitors, understand use of the Service, and remember access preferences. Visitors who do not want cookies placed on their computers can configure their browsers to refuse them, although certain features of the Service may not function properly without cookies.

Business Transfers

If RightMessage, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that RightMessage goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of RightMessage may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.
