Common questions

What newsletter publishers usually need to know first.

RightMessage personalizes the site you own. Your newsletter platform still handles publishing, subscriptions, sending, and billing.

Does this replace Kit, beehiiv, Ghost, or another newsletter platform?+

No. RightMessage personalizes the separate JavaScript-capable website you own. Your newsletter platform remains responsible for publishing, subscriptions, sending, paywall or membership features, and its own reporting.

How does RightMessage know someone is already subscribed?+

That depends on the configured connection and identification path. A supported integration can make selected subscriber status, fields, tags, or segments available after identification; the exact data and timing vary by platform and setup.

Can known subscribers stop seeing newsletter signup forms?+

Yes. When supported subscriber context is available, you can replace a generic opt-in with a configured guide, premium issue, product, event, membership, or reactivation path. Anonymous readers can keep the normal signup experience.

Do readers need to complete a long survey?+

No. You can ask one useful question, remember the answer, skip what you already know, and learn something else on a later visit.

Can answers sync back to the newsletter platform?+

They can when the selected integration supports the configured field, tag, segment, or automation update. Your newsletter platform remains the system that owns subscriber records and downstream automation.

Does RightMessage personalize the newsletter email itself?+

This page is about personalizing the owned website. Your newsletter platform can use configured data in its own emails and automations, but RightMessage does not replace that email-composition or delivery system.

Will this work on a hosted publication page?+

Compatibility depends on whether the publication surface can run the required JavaScript. Confirm the hosted platform and setup before planning a campaign; a separate owned website is the usual fit.

How do we measure whether the website change worked?+

Configure the website click, pageview, form submission, or custom event that matters, then compare the experience with the regular page or another variant. Subscription, revenue, and email reporting remain in the systems that own them.
