RightMessage
For paid traffic teams and agencies

Match the page to the ad, then test which angle wins for that ad's traffic.

RightMessage is a personalization platform with built-in A/B testing. Give each UTM campaign its own headline, proof, and form on the landing page you already run, then A/B test ad-angle versions inside that audience and get a plain-language verdict each week.

Best suited to teams running several ad campaigns to an existing site, with a form, demo, or purchase goal worth improving.

3 paid traffic plays

Message match first. Then find out which message actually works.

Each campaign audience gets a page that matches its ad. Inside each audience, compare angles on the same traffic, and send every impression to the analytics you already report from.

Match

One landing page, a matched version for every UTM campaign.

Build an audience for each utm_campaign or utm_content value, then change the headline, supporting copy, proof, and form for that audience. No cloned page per ad, and no rebuild of the page you already run.

Test

Test ad-angle versions inside each campaign audience.

Start an audience test on any campaign audience: Control (the audience's current changes) plus up to three challengers, split evenly or from 1% to 99% per version. Visitors from that campaign are split between versions; everyone else keeps their own experience. Visitors who match no audience can get their own Original page test.

Decide

Weekly verdicts you can act on, and the data in your own analytics.

Results are checked every Friday, and checking weekly doesn't raise the chance of a false winner. Each version shows its likely range, and a version wins only when its whole range beats Control. You decide when to end the test and which version to keep. Every impression also goes to GA4, Google Tag Manager, and PostHog when they're enabled, so you can check cost-per-lead and revenue by version where you already report them.

Before you start

An estimate of the time to a verdict and the smallest difference the test can spot, from the last 28 days of traffic.

While it runs

A weekly trend of the difference between versions, plus split and contamination checks that pause verdicts if something looks wrong.

When it's done

End the test, keep the version you choose, and a campaign holdback (Scale) still measures the whole campaign against the unpersonalized page.

Start with one landing page

Bring one landing page and the ad campaigns that send it traffic. We’ll map the campaign audiences, the angles worth testing, and what the time-to-verdict estimate is likely to look like.

Set expectations honestly

Splitting a campaign's traffic takes time to read.

An audience test only sees that audience's visitors, so traffic per campaign matters. One anonymized paid-ads campaign at about 356 visitors a day, converting about 11%, needs about 9 weeks to detect a 20% lift.

Smaller campaigns can take months, or may never reach a verdict. RightMessage still lets you start the test, shows the weekly trend from the first check, and tells you up front how long it expects to take, so you can decide whether to test a bigger change or pool campaigns into one audience.

Data integrations + site compatibility

Enhance, don’t replace, your current stack.

RightMessage runs on the CMS, website builder, framework, and landing pages you already use, and connects directly to your ESP or CRM when a campaign needs contact data. There are no pages to rebuild, DNS records to update, or systems to replace.

Common questions

What paid traffic teams usually ask first.

What does testing an ad angle inside a UTM audience mean?+

A campaign audience matches visitors from a UTM campaign, such as utm_campaign=speed. That audience already sees landing-page changes that match the ad. An audience test splits those visitors between Control (the audience's current changes) and up to three challengers, so you can compare angles for the same ad traffic.

Which plan do I need?+

Campaigns, UTM audiences, and the campaign holdback are on Scale. Starting or restarting page and audience A/B tests needs Pro. Ending a test, keeping the winner, and analytics hand-off don't need Pro.

How long until we get a verdict?+

It depends on traffic and conversion rate. Before you start, RightMessage estimates the time to a verdict from the last 28 days of traffic. Results are checked weekly, and the earliest verdict comes at the week 2 check, about three weeks after the start. Smaller campaigns can take months, or may not reach a verdict at all. Low traffic never blocks a test, and the weekly trend shows how versions are doing in the meantime.

Can we split traffic unevenly?+

Yes. Split evenly, or set a custom share from 1% to 99% per version. Each audience can have Control plus up to three challengers.

Does RightMessage end the test or roll out the winner on its own?+

No. Tests never end on their own. When you end a test you choose the version to keep, and that version keeps showing to the audience.

Can we see test results in GA4, Google Tag Manager, or PostHog?+

Yes. RightMessage sends an impression event for every version to each enabled analytics app, with a string in the format RM-<experienceId>-<variantId>. Use it to compare versions against the metrics you already report on, such as revenue or downstream conversions.

We're an agency. Can we run this for clients?+

Yes. Each client website uses its own RightMessage project, with its own campaigns, audiences, and tests. The client keeps their site and ad accounts; you configure the landing-page versions and read the weekly verdicts.

What doesn't it do?+

It doesn't run multivariate tests, split-URL or redirect tests, bandits, or real-time significance. Versions are whole alternatives on the same page, and verdicts are weekly. Pair it with a heatmap tool if you need recordings.
