A Website question collects a web address and checks its URL format. You can save it to a contact's record for follow-up.

When to use it

Use this question when knowing someone's website helps you prepare for a conversation. WorkForge (opens in a new tab) could ask for a company website before a consultation.

The question checks the address format, not whether the website belongs to the visitor.

RequiredOff. Visitors can skip. When on, requires a nonempty, valid website answer.

There are no settings for allowing only certain domains, checking whether the site is reachable, or verifying ownership.

The live control accepts HTTP or HTTPS URLs with a dot in the hostname. A bare domain such as workforge.rightmessage.com becomes https://workforge.rightmessage.com/. An unsupported scheme or invalid format shows an error.

See shared question settings for wording and button labels.

How answers are stored and synced

RightMessage saves the normalized URL as text, including its path and query string when present. An answer doesn't record a visit to that URL or change the current page.

Save answers to shows your connected platform's name and offers compatible native or custom fields. Answers can still appear in Responses without a mapping. Mapping a field doesn't identify the visitor. See answer sync for identification and destination checks.

Website answers don't automatically create segments or answer branches. Input-answer conditions can compare the saved text or its domain. Use a domain-specific condition when only the host matters, rather than requiring an exact match on the whole URL. A linked form field submits with its form.

The editor preview doesn't record answers or send data to your email platform. Existing edits autosave to the draft and affect every use after publication. The Questions library reference covers creating and reusing questions.
