Question answers and activity reference
You'll see how to read answer rates, NPS scores, write-in themes, and individual activity so you can understand where people answer or leave.
Use a question's Results tab to see how often people answer and what they choose. Open Activity to look at individual answers, skips, and identification attempts. To check whether an answer reached your email platform, look at the contact record there too.
See how often people answer
The flow selector starts at All flows. Use it and the date control to choose the flows and dates you want to review. The funnel counts distinct visitors, so repeated interactions don't count as separate people.
| Measure | What it counts for your selected flows and dates |
|---|---|
| Shown | Distinct visitors with a recorded question display. |
| Answered | Shown visitors with a recorded answer at or after their first display in the range. |
| Skipped | Shown visitors with a recorded skip at or after that display and no qualifying answer. |
| Closed without answering | The remaining shown visitors, calculated as Shown minus Answered minus Skipped. It isn't a count of close-button clicks. |
| Answer rate | Answered divided by Shown. |
Unavailable for this range means a measure is missing, not zero. Its explanation tells you which data is missing. You can't calculate a precise answer rate without the number shown. A response can be recorded without a display marker, so response totals can differ from the funnel's Answered count.
Choice questions list answers from most to least selected. Each answer's share is its distinct visitors divided by the question's respondents. A single-answer question counts one selected answer per visitor in the range. Multiple-answer questions say Visitors could pick more than one, so those selections can overlap. These shares describe recorded submissions, not people's current segment membership.
Input questions show What happened with answers instead of a choice-segment breakdown. Responses per day shows the daily counts and their peak where data is available. Adding daily respondents isn't the same as counting unique visitors across the whole period.
For Email questions, What happened with answers separates Answered, Newly identified, Already known, and Not identified. Not identified includes failed identification and submissions without consent. Open Activity to see what happened for an individual submission.
Recent responses shows Person, Answer, and When. A person opens a quick look when an email or visitor ID is available, including anonymous visitors with a visitor ID. View all activity opens the separate activity view.
See revenue by answer
The Answers | Revenue toggle sits beside the flow filter and dates. Choose Revenue to split your Stripe revenue by answer. If Stripe isn't connected yet, the toggle opens the Connect Stripe dialog instead. See Connect Stripe and see which segments buy.
In Revenue mode, the Answers card lists each answer with these columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Visitors | The answer's share of visitors. |
| Revenue | The answer's share of net revenue in your dates, with the amount and buyer count. |
| Per buyer | Average net revenue per buyer with this answer. |
| Worth | Average paid within 30 days by people seen with this answer during a fixed window that ended 31 days ago. It doesn't follow your selected dates. |
A No answer row covers buyers who didn't give one, and a "Not placed" line shows buyers RightMessage couldn't match. An "Answered in" line, such as "Answered in Kit: $1,800.00 from 22 buyers", shows revenue credited from your email platform for buyers who never answered on your site. The card notes "Revenue, visitor shares and Worth cover every flow." The flow filter doesn't narrow revenue.
Shares and per-buyer values need at least 5 buyers per answer, and Worth needs enough people seen. An unpublished question says "Publish this question to see revenue by answer." If no known buyers answered, you'll see "No known buyers answered this yet." How revenue by segment is counted covers matching, crediting, and Worth.
Read an NPS score
NPS shows the score, respondent count, group shares, and a histogram for values 0 through 10. Detractors answered 0 through 6, passives answered 7 or 8, and promoters answered 9 or 10.
The score is the percentage of promoters minus the percentage of detractors. Each visitor counts once, using their latest score in the selected range. It isn't an average star rating or a named flow score. Missing data stays unavailable rather than becoming a score of zero.
Find themes in Other answers
What "Other" answers say groups recorded write-ins into themes. You can see the sampled response count, people counts, example answers, and a link to all write-ins.
Add as answer creates an ordinary choice for future visitors. It doesn't recategorize earlier write-ins, and the change stays a draft until you publish. An active question test or unavailable test status can lock the action. If adding an answer fails, the page shows an error.
Themes summarize a sample, not every response. Read the full response list when you need the detail. Manage responses covers filters, exports, and theme limits.
Look at individual activity
Activity is read-only and covers both choice and input questions. Its flow and date filters determine which records you see. Rows are newest first, with Previous and Next pagination.
| Column | What you'll see |
|---|---|
| Person | Available person information. Click it for a quick look. |
| Shown | The recorded display time. A missing time stays unavailable. |
| Answer / outcome | The recorded answer, Skipped, or Closed without answering, where captured. |
| Flow | A linked flow, Deleted flow, or Flow unknown when the source wasn't recorded. |
| Identification | Email questions only. Newly identified, Already known, Failed, No consent, or Unavailable. |
| When | The time of the recorded answer, skip, or other action. |
Multiple-answer submissions are grouped when the recorded data supports it. Older answers can remain visible even when skipped or closed markers weren't captured. A visitor's current identity doesn't tell you whether RightMessage identified them when they answered.
Understand empty or unavailable reports
No responses yet links to See where it's used. Activity distinguishes an empty list from a date range where skipped and closed actions are unavailable. Results and Activity each have their own unavailable state with Retry. If themes are still loading or fail to load, the underlying responses aren't necessarily missing.
