October 2026 — A/B tests inside campaigns, revenue by segment, a new dashboard and campaign editor, richer questions, and visual widget placement
A/B test your page and each audience inside a campaign, and personalize pages in the redesigned campaign editor. Plus a new dashboard, richer questions, and visual widget placement.
Published
View as MarkdownYou can personalize a page, compare copy across audiences, A/B test your changes, and preview how different segments fit together without leaving your campaign. October also brings landing pages that Righty builds in your brand (in early access), revenue by segment from your Stripe payments with a Revenue Overview of what your customers are worth, a dashboard that shows what needs attention, more flexible surveys, click-to-place Embedded widgets, widgets styled entirely by your own website, and a flow preview you can keep open while you build. Here's what's shipped through October 28.
A/B test your page and each audience inside a campaign
You can now test versions of your changes inside a campaign. Test the Original page, the page visitors see when no audience matches, with Control (your unchanged page) and up to three variants. Or test an audience's changes against up to three challengers. A campaign with no audiences is a plain page A/B test, so segments are now optional when you create one. Build each version in the editor, check the estimate of how long a verdict might take, then start the test. It goes live when you publish. Run an A/B test on a page or an audience.
The campaign's Split Tests tab is now Testing. It shows the campaign holdback and a card for each test with its status, results and next step. Read the Testing tab reference. The campaign holdback is part of Scale. Starting or restarting a test needs Pro, while ending a test works on any plan.
Results are checked every Friday, and the earliest verdict comes at the week 2 check, about three weeks after the test starts. Verdicts can take months on lower-traffic pages, or may not come, and tests never end on their own. Read A/B test results and test with low traffic.
When you're ready, End the test and pick the version to keep. For an Original page winner, Deploy keeps showing it to everyone until your website has the changes, with a checklist to hand to your developer. End a test and deploy the winner. For what the testing tools don't do, see What RightMessage testing doesn't do.
Send tests to your analytics and count conversions from your code
Tests and holdbacks now send an impression to each enabled analytics app, on every plan. The new Google Tag Manager app joins Google Analytics and PostHog, and each test's Send to your analytics panel lists the strings to filter by. Analyze tests in GA4 and Google Tag Manager or in PostHog.
Conversion goals have a new JavaScript event type, so your site's code can report a conversion such as a completed checkout with RM.push(['conversion', 'purchase']). Goals can also carry an optional Value per conversion, which is shown next to results but never decides a winner. Track conversions with JavaScript.
In project settings, Wait for cookie consent stores nothing, runs no tests and sends no stats until a visitor accepts cookies, and Exclude this browser stops your own visits from counting. Use RightMessage with a cookie banner. Newly copied snippets now show rmcloak elements' original content after 3 seconds if RightMessage hasn't loaded; snippets you installed earlier keep their old wait until you copy the snippet again.
Personalize pages and compare audience copy in one editor
The redesigned campaign editor brings Edit, Matrix, and Preview into the app. Click an element to change its content, image, style, or page rules. The audience list keeps your changes together, while Original page lets you compare them with your unchanged website.
Use Matrix to compare copy side by side or paste several audiences' copy from a spreadsheet. Choose Ask Righty for options on one element, use Fill empty cells, or select cells and choose Rewrite with Righty.
In Preview, try combinations of segments and see which audiences changed each element. Overlap notices help you decide which audience takes priority when more than one matches. Changes save to your draft until you review and publish them. Explore the campaign editor.
To personalize for a traffic source, add a Visitors from a link audience. It builds its segment group from a link parameter such as utm_source, so you don't have to set one up first. The audiences panel also collapses to a narrow strip when you need room. Add an audience from a link.
Build a landing page in your brand (early access)
Describe the page you want in Pages, and Righty builds it in your website's look, with its form. Click any element to edit it, move it, or ask Righty to change it, then personalize and A/B test the page like any page on your website. Publish it at your project's rightmessage.page address or on your own domain. Site styles with dark-mode colors, version history, and page settings for search, sharing, and scripts come with it, and your connected AI assistant can build and edit pages through the new Pages tools. Pages is in early access, and publishing a page needs Scale or Pro; email support@rightmessage.com to try it. Build a landing page with Pages.
See what needs your attention next
Your redesigned dashboard brings together an activity chart, active experiments, and a summary from Righty. Needs attention points you to things that need fixing, while Recommended action gives you a concrete next step you can build with Righty. You can also copy a setup prompt from Use RightMessage with your agent to get an external AI assistant connected to your project. Find your way around the dashboard.
See which segments bring in revenue
Connect Stripe with a read-only restricted key, and RightMessage imports your payments, starting with the last 90 days, and matches buyers to the visitors it recognized by email. The dashboard's new Results section shows who reached your goal by segment, revenue from new and existing customers, and a By segment table with each segment's share of visitors and revenue and what a visitor in it is worth. Segment Groups and Questions gain a Revenue view, down to each answer, and a campaign's Results tab compares revenue per personalized and held-back visitor without changing its verdict. Your connected AI assistant can read the same numbers with get-segment-revenue. Connect Stripe and see which segments buy.
When a buyer never answered a question on your site, RightMessage now checks their contact in your connected email platform and credits their revenue to the answer it holds there. An Answered in line names the platform and shows how much revenue those answers account for, and a note tracks the lookups while they catch up. See how platform answers are counted.
Revenue Overview puts it together on one page, under Dashboard in the sidebar: lifetime revenue and revenue by month from new and existing customers, what customers in each segment and answer are worth over their lifetime, what people bought after seeing each of your flows, quiz results, pages, offers, and traffic sources, and revenue per visitor for each campaign with a holdback. Without Stripe, it asks you to connect right on the page. See how each number is counted.
Ask more kinds of questions, and reuse them in forms
The Questions library now includes dedicated contact, text, number, date, rating, NPS, and slider questions. You can use saved input answers in conditions, review individual answers in Responses, and reuse library questions in a form instead of rebuilding their fields and mappings. The redesigned form editor also lets you drag fields into order. Explore the question library.
Segment visitors from what they write
A Short text or Long text question can now fill up to 10 of your other questions from the visitor's answer. Choose how sure RightMessage must be, add hint words for each answer, and try a sample answer before you publish. Filled answers put visitors in segments, sync to your email platform like answers they clicked, and let your flow skip questions it already knows the answer to. They never replace an answer someone picked. The debugger shows which text question filled a segment and how sure RightMessage was. Fill other questions from a text answer.
Place widgets by clicking on your website
For an Embedded widget, open Display, then Where it appears, and choose Pick spots on your site. You can select a location on each page and keep separate placement rules for different paths and domains, without pasting an embed into each page. The rebuilt widget editor also lets you copy another widget's design or compare AI-generated designs before applying one. See widget placement controls.
Style a widget entirely with your website's CSS
The new Unstyled theme gives a widget no RightMessage styling, so your website's own CSS styles it through documented class names. Its Design tab lists those classes and has Copy reference stylesheet, and the editor previews the widget on a page of your own site. Toasters can now use Plain, Paddington, or Unstyled. Style an Unstyled widget with your own CSS.
Judge campaigns with clearer comparisons
A campaign's Results tab compares personalized visitors with the holdback group, including conversion rates, lift, trends, and audience breakdowns. Experiments now have saved decision states such as Collecting evidence, Winner, Loser, and Inconclusive, rather than changing their verdict when you change report dates. The Activity tab lets you inspect the visitors who saw a campaign. Understand campaign decisions.
Find out why something isn't showing on your site
The rebuilt debugger's This page tab separates what's showing, waiting, or not showing, with explanations you can follow. You can switch between your draft and published setup, try different segments, and inspect personalized elements directly on the page. Existing campaign changes can be edited there and saved to your draft; View site as them opens a known contact's view from their profile. Use the on-site debugger.
Show testimonials that fit the visitor
Connect Senja under Other integrations, then add its testimonials or Walls of Love to your flows. Choose the content you want, use Pick on my site to place it, and use your flow's branches to decide who sees it. Your connected AI assistant can also connect Senja and build its embed steps through MCP. Connect Senja.
Keep Righty beside the work you're doing
Righty now opens in a docked sidebar, with a continuous conversation and named links to the things it changed. Before deleting something, it shows a Needs your OK card for you to approve or cancel. Change summaries keep eligible Undo actions close to the edits they belong to. See Righty's conversation controls.
You can also show Righty a screenshot, a brief, or a spreadsheet: choose Attach files, paste, or drop images, PDFs, and text, Markdown, CSV, or JSON files into a message. Change cards now group what Righty changed by kind, label each update or removal, and link to what changed, and a running build shows live progress lines. Attach files to a message.
Hear about the right people when they visit
Describe the people you want to hear about in plain words, such as people who aren't customers yet comparing your plans. Once an identified visitor's visit ends, RightMessage checks it against your rules. When someone matches, you get an email that explains why, and the rule can also tag them, add them to a list, or set a custom field on their existing contact in your email platform. Open Lead alerts (from People on Pro, or in the sidebar on other plans) to write rules and read each alert's full story, with Copy to AI agent for drafting your follow-up. Your connected AI assistant can manage rules and look up alerts through MCP. Lead alerts are on every plan. Get lead alerts.
Click through a flow in a floating preview
The flow builder's preview now opens in a window that floats over the canvas, so you can move it, resize it, or minimize it while you keep building. When the flow reaches a condition the preview can't work out, such as page views, the referrer, or the visitor's device, it asks which way to go and remembers your choice. Restart replays your choices as a new visitor, and Next page view continues as the same visitor, so you can check a progressive profiling flow page by page. The canvas highlights the path the preview took and follows the current step.
You can also preview as one of your email platform's contacts, so conditions on their tags, lists, and fields are worked out for you. The preview never writes anything: field updates, tags, webhooks, and email notifications a real visit would make are listed under Not sent instead. Preview a flow in the builder.
Smaller improvements and fixes
- New flow creates a flow and its widget together, with the option to copy an existing widget's styling.
- Flow completion counts now include runs that reach the end, and detailed path metrics load only when you need them.
- The Publish dialog groups changes by what you're editing and shows readable before-and-after values.
- Condition groups have clearer all/any controls and more readable nested rules.
- Offer split-test versions can send visitors to different destination URLs, not just show different wording.
- You can exclude a person's past and future activity from analytics, then undo the exclusion in project settings.
- Survey answers keep syncing after contact updates that previously caused an identified visitor to lose their email address.
- Browser and operating-system conditions now correctly evaluate the choices saved in the editor.
- Question and offer previews render personalized phrases instead of displaying their Liquid markup.
- On sites that wait for cookie consent, a flow's Redirect step or an offer link now carries the visitor's answers and variables to the next page on your site, so a quiz's results page can personalize before they accept cookies. The link never includes their visitor or contact ID.
- Previewing a post in WordPress no longer opens the RightMessage debugger or sends logged-in visitors to the RightMessage sign-in page.
- The Activity page is now called People.
- The flow builder's Build palette shows three columns, and you can drag the corner of the flow panel to make it wider or narrower. Your browser remembers its width.
- Zoom the flow canvas by pinching on a trackpad or touch screen, or double-tap to zoom in on a touch screen. Flow search (S) now titles each step the way its card reads.
- The flow responses table is now a spreadsheet with a frozen person column, outcome buttons, removable answer filters, and Export CSV in its header. A condition's Activity tab shows which branch each run went down.
- Flow Settings no longer has Copy LLM Output or Delete Analytics Data.
- You can resize Righty by dragging the left edge of its sidebar, and your browser remembers the width. Need help? in the top bar now closes Righty when it's already open.
- Righty's flow analytics now count how many runs went down each branch of a condition instead of calling that routing drop-off, and say which dates their numbers cover.
- The campaign list and each campaign's Overview now show the same lift, labeled with the dates it covers, such as "Whole test, since Oct 5". Righty's campaign summary names the same dates.
- The REST API has an OpenAPI reference at
https://api.rightmessage.com/openapi.json, and requests without a valid token always get a JSON error. AI assistants that connect without signing in are asked to sign in through OAuth instead of being sent to the login page. - Campaign results now load in browsers that report an older timezone name, such as GMT.
- Goals that aren't counting yet now say why in the Conversion Goals list, with Attach to campaign or Review and publish right there.
- Bot protection in Settings › Forms & widgets warns when Cloudflare Turnstile refuses to run on one of your hostnames, naming the hostname and when it was last seen.
- On multiple-answer questions shown as buttons or images, selected answers show as selected again and Next turns on. Both had stopped working in September.
- Your connected AI assistant can add form fields by kind at a chosen position, reorder them with
move-form-field, map segments to email platform tags withsync_mappings, and set the Unstyled theme. - Forms Righty builds now send signups to your email platform. Righty can look up your platform's forms, tags, lists and automations by name, and when you don't choose a destination it adds signups as contacts wherever your platform allows that. Forms made through MCP or the API that add people to a list or start an automation now work.
- The Metrics calendar in the flow editor is no longer cut off.
- The dashboard's More detail links are now Other dashboards: Audience breakdown, Revenue, Website stats, and Conversions by page, each on its own page and listed under Dashboard in the sidebar while you're on one of them.
- Publish and Review all changes open right away again on projects without the Pages early access, instead of seeming to do nothing for a few seconds.
- Removing someone from Collaborators works again instead of failing with an error.
- In dark theme, the bulk URL update dialog is readable, the Upgrade page's Monthly/Annual switch and the dashboard's currency toggle show which option is selected, project and member initials show in settings lists, unselected radio buttons are outlined, and date picker buttons match the other date buttons.
- The Pages site styles preview shows your site's heading and body fonts.
