Your Dashboard helps you see what visitors are doing, what needs fixing, and what you could try next. It uses your project name as its title. This page explains the sections in the order you'll find them and the dates behind their numbers.

For a walkthrough, follow See how your flow is doing.

Reporting windows

The date selector offers 7 days, 14 days, and 30 days. It starts at 7 days and remembers your choice for this project during the browser session.

SectionDates it covers
Activity, Results, and WorkingYour selected 7, 14, or 30 days. Worth in Results uses its own fixed window.
Main measurement in the status stripThe last seven complete days.
Righty's summary and What movedThe saved summary's evidence dates. Changing the picker doesn't regenerate it.
Needs attentionCurrent unresolved checks, not a total for the chart period.
Recommended actionThe dates printed on each saved recommendation.
What's being tested nowCurrent test states and each test's own evidence.
What you've builtAll-time totals, with separate weekly changes.
Recent visitorsThe latest eligible visitors, independent of the picker.

Every report counts days from midnight to midnight in the project's time zone, which you set in Project settings > General. It's America/New_York unless you change it, whatever time zone your computer uses. Available history can shorten the range you request, so compare the covered dates printed in each report. An unavailable measurement isn't zero.

Righty's summary and the main measurement

Righty's summary describes the main action your project measures. It shows the evidence period and when the summary was written. What moved explains changes supported by that saved evidence. Selecting 30 days doesn't turn it into a 30-day analysis.

If you've chosen what the project should measure, that choice takes priority. Otherwise, RightMessage looks for eligible live lead capture, scored quizzes, routing, campaign goals, and questions. The headline can count opt-ins, quiz completions, visitors routed, contacts synced, or goal conversions.

Those counts mean different things. Quiz completions count runs, while visitors routed counts distinct visitors. Goal conversions follow the goal counting rules. The headline isn't always a count of new leads.

If a saved summary isn't ready, the dashboard can show a factual sentence about the numbers instead. If you change the type of action being measured, it hides the old summary rather than reusing it for a different action.

Dashboard status strip

The strip shows the main measurement, Experiments, Needs attention, and Recommended action. A ready count above zero links to its section. Zero, loading, and unavailable values aren't links.

Activity and recent visitors

Activity charts the available measurements over time. All available series start selected. You can turn each one off, including all of them. Unavailable series can't be selected. The information control explains each series and any missing data.

Daily unique visitor counts don't add up to the period's unique total. Someone present on two days can count on both chart points but only once in the period total.

The Visitors row sits below the chart. Older snippets can lack bot scoring, so visitor counts may run high until a publish updates the tracking. The page explains when this applies.

The recent-visitors strip shows up to ten eligible visitors and refreshes while your browser tab is visible. Select an avatar to open a quick look at that visitor. Recent visitors opens People. The online indicator means activity within the last five minutes, not at any point in the selected dates.

Results

Results shows who reaches your conversion goal and, once Stripe is connected, which segments bring in revenue. It covers the dashboard's selected 7, 14, or 30 days, and the dates appear under the heading. Use the Goal picker to choose the conversion goal it reports on.

Dashboard Results for a pricing-page goal showing people who reached it, new and existing customer revenue from Stripe, and a By segment table with Reached goal, Revenue, Visitors to revenue and Worth

The summary card shows:

  • People who reached the goal: distinct people who reached the goal in these dates. If the goal isn't recording, the cell shows "—" and the reason, such as "Conversions start recording after your next publish."
  • New customers: net Stripe revenue from people whose first payment ever falls in these dates, such as "48 first-time buyers · 6% of revenue".
  • Existing customers: renewals and repeat purchases by people who first paid earlier, such as "412 renewing or repeat · 94% of revenue".

Revenue is payments minus refunds. Until Stripe's full history is in, a single Revenue cell can stand in for the two customer cells. With more than one currency, a currency switch appears, because totals are never added across currencies.

The source line under the card names Stripe and its sync state: "Synced 50m ago", "Importing the last 90 days of Stripe payments… We'll let you know when they're in.", or Sync delayed. Manage opens the connection. A Test data tag means the connected key is a test-mode key.

By segment

Choose a segment group in the picker to split the goal and revenue across its segments. Columns without data are hidden: Reached goal needs a recording goal, and the revenue columns need Stripe.

ColumnWhat it shows
SegmentEach segment in the group, plus a Not in this group row for buyers in none of its segments.
Reached goalPeople who reached the goal, using the segments they were in when they converted.
RevenueNet revenue credited to the segment, with its number of buyers.
Visitors → revenueThe segment's share of the group's visitors, then its share of the group's revenue. Shares appear once a segment has at least 5 buyers.
WorthThe average amount people seen in the segment paid within 30 days, customers included, measured over a fixed window that ended 31 days ago. It doesn't follow the selected dates.

People can be in more than one segment, so shares can add up to more than 100%. A "Not placed" line under the table counts buyers the group couldn't place, and hovering it lists the reasons. How revenue by segment is counted explains how buyers are matched and credited, and when Worth appears.

If no one reached the goal in these dates, the table says so instead of showing empty rows.

When Results shows something else

If you see…What it means
See which segments buy with Connect StripeStripe isn't connected. "Connect Stripe to add revenue from known buyers, split by segment. RightMessage only reads payments, customers and subscriptions." Connect Stripe and see which segments buy walks through it.
"Stripe stopped accepting your key" with ReconnectStripe rejected the key before any payments came in. Reconnect with a new restricted key. If payments were already imported, the source line shows Sync delayed instead.
No Stripe payments in this period"Try 30 days, or check that payments go to the connected Stripe account."
"Add a goal to see which segments reach it." with Create a goalThe project has no conversion goals yet.
"Conversion goals are on Scale. Upgrade to see which segments reach your goals." with Upgrade to ScaleYour project is on Grow. Revenue from Stripe works on every plan, but conversion goals require Scale or Pro.

Needs attention

This section lists unresolved checks, ordered by urgency and then age. It checks for:

  • Failing email-platform sync.
  • Stopped snippet activity.
  • Flows without completions.
  • Campaigns without goals.
  • Widgets with missing content.
  • Flows that aren't identifying contacts.
  • Segment groups used on the live site that have no matches.
  • A/B tests that are paused, ready to end, not counting visitors, or can't reach a verdict. For example, "Coaching test in Homepage can't reach a verdict".
  • Deployed winners that are ready to undeploy, or that your website still doesn't show after 30 days.

Each row links to the affected item or settings. Long lists show three names first and let you expand the rest.

Ignoring a stored issue hides it without fixing it. Show ignored reveals hidden checks, and Restore returns them to the normal list. Needs attention checks and actions covers detection limits and where each action takes you.

The dashboard first shows recovery steps for confirmed snippet inactivity, titled Ensure RightMessage is running on your website / landing pages. Next come saved drafts and ideas, then idea generation, then a highlighted attention check. If none applies, it shows an up-to-date state.

If you'd like to…Control and behavior
Build an ideaBuild with Righty opens a conversation. Righty plans the change and waits for your approval before editing.
Use a recommendation that needs another planUpgrade opens the required plan.
Inspect a draftPreview opens a verified draft split test when available, or your website with the draft debugger preview.
Resume a buildContinue draft opens the existing conversation.
Set an idea asideNot now snoozes it for seven days. For a highlighted attention check, it ignores the check instead.
Remove a draft testDiscard draft appears only when RightMessage can verify a single, unchanged draft split-test creation. It asks you to confirm.
Review a draft that can't be safely discarded in one clickReview draft changes opens the project changes review.
Read another ideaReview opens it in Optimizations.
See all open ideasAll N ideas appears when more than one open idea exists. The count can include snoozed ideas.

Publishing a draft doesn't start a split test. Review Righty's recommendations walks through building, reviewing, and publishing a change.

Recommendation states and timing

Optimizations is available on every plan, but an individual idea can need a feature your project doesn't include. Its card shows the required plan and an upgrade action. Opening that upgrade page doesn't build the idea. Ideas for flow split tests are available on every plan.

StateWhat you'll find
To doIdeas you haven't built yet.
In draftBuilds awaiting completion.
DoneCompleted builds and their completion dates.
DismissedIdeas you've dismissed.

Empty groups are hidden. On Optimizations, an In draft card uses Build with Righty to resume the existing conversation, not start another build. The dashboard calls this Continue draft.

A verified draft split test can show Review and start. That link opens the review page without starting or publishing the test. Optimization cards don't have the dashboard's on-site Preview control. Use the dashboard or the resource's own preview instead.

Improvements made with Righty counts recommendation builds completed by publishing, across all time. It doesn't count statistically proven improvements. There isn't a manual Mark complete action. Publishing or returning to a clean draft refreshes the status, so a discarded build can return to To do.

Dismiss on a To do card moves the idea out of active work. Unlike Dismiss, the dashboard's Not now snoozes an idea for seven days. If either action fails, the page shows an error rather than confirming the change.

Righty checks for ideas daily. It keeps current ideas and fills available space up to five active ideas. Eligible projects can also trigger generation when the dashboard has no selected ideas. An empty list doesn't guarantee there's a new recommendation to show.

The Monday optimization email links to the same ideas. Its delivery schedule is separate from idea generation.

Working cards and measurements

Working shows the uses of RightMessage found in your live setup and activity. Features you aren't using don't appear as empty cards. Each card includes metric definitions, period comparisons, and a link to the relevant items.

What you're measuringWhat the card reports
Audience GrowthOpt-ins, opt-in rate, form views, and top converting pages. Each page's rate uses that page's form viewers. Conversions can overlap across pages.
Scored quizzesCompletions, completion rate, CTA conversions, and Result split. Completions count runs, not unique visitors.
Quiz RoutingQuiz starts, visitors routed, routing rate, and destinations. Starts count runs. Routing rate divides distinct routed visitors by distinct starters.
Segmentation SnapshotAnswers, response rate, segment coverage, and most-answered questions. Questions with no answers are left out.
Contact updatesAnswers, contacts synced, segment coverage, and the connected provider. These can appear inside the survey card. Sync paused means syncing has been interrupted.
Personalization CampaignsVisitors reached, goal conversions, and tests decided. Campaigns without goals show an Add goals notice instead of a verdict. Campaigns require Scale or Pro.

Older tracking can leave question-level measurements or routing destinations unavailable. A notice explains when publishing starts improved tracking. Your older answers haven't been deleted. Some answer totals cover all flows rather than only the displayed flows. Read the note beside the number to see what's included.

Who's converting shows up to three eligible answers from a group with a measurable conversion difference. It compares answers with that group's visitor and converter totals, not the whole site's average.

The comparison needs:

  • At least 30 conversions in the group.
  • At least two eligible segments.
  • At least 200 visitors in each eligible segment.
  • Either 10 actual conversions in each eligible segment or 10 expected conversions at the group's average rate.

This is an observation, not proof that an answer caused a conversion. Routing leaves out this comparison because the quiz itself creates the routing segments.

What's being tested now

This section includes running flow tests, campaign tests collecting evidence, campaign tests paused for tracking health, campaign verdicts, and completed resource split tests. It also lists A/B tests on audiences and on the Original page, tagged Ready to end, Can't reach a verdict, or Paused when they need you. Rows show available sample counts, start dates, next campaign checks, and links to the tests.

On mobile, Show expands the test list and Hide collapses it. Working cards have similar controls for campaign, destination, question, or quiz details.

A manually selected split-test variant is Completed, not a statistical winner. Question, form, offer, and flow split tests show here on every plan. When people are using your questions, offers, or forms, Find out which wording works better can suggest a messaging test, and Create a messaging test opens that question's, form's, or offer's test controls.

What you've built

The all-time measures are Answers collected, Contacts with answers, Fields kept in sync, and Segments with visitors. Weekly changes have their own dates. Missing or computing totals aren't zeroes.

Contacts with answers counts accumulated contacts with answers. Contacts synced in Working counts recorded sync activity in the selected period. They measure different things. Inactive projects keep their saved all-time totals.

Other dashboards

At the bottom of the dashboard, Other dashboards links to four more, each on its own page:

If you'd like to…Open
Compare segment groups by how they convertAudience breakdown
See lifetime Stripe revenue, which customers are worth the most, and what they bought afterRevenue
See where traffic comes from, the pages people land on and view, campaign tracking, and technologyWebsite stats
Compare form submissions and offer conversions by pageConversions by page

While you're on the dashboard or one of these, the sidebar lists the same four under Dashboard.

Audience breakdown starts at 30 days with a range of its own. Website stats and Conversions by page share the dashboard's range. Revenue Overview has its own period controls. See the website stats reference, audience reporting, and the Revenue Overview reference. Individual responses are on the Responses page; see response filters and exports.

Setup, billing, and snippet recovery states

Until your project has its first result, a Setup checklist replaces the normal report sections. A welcome line and your first draft sit above it, and the checklist header counts how many of its five steps are done. Only the first incomplete step expands. RightMessage marks steps complete from your draft, preview, website, integrations, and published settings. You don't tick them off yourself.

StepWhat completes it
Build your first survey, quiz, or smart CTAsA saved draft. Before you have one, choose the suggested outcome or Choose your first outcome, and Righty drafts it for you. Afterward, Open in editor opens it.
Try it in previewPreviewing the draft. Nothing changes on your website.
See it on your real site (optional)A confirmed page view from your website after you add the production snippet. The step offers the snippet, Email it to my developer, Platform guides, and Book a setup call.
Send answers to your email platform (optional)A connected email platform.
Publish your survey, quiz, or smart CTAsPublishing the draft so visitors see it.

A step whose signal RightMessage can't confirm shows Unavailable and isn't marked complete.

The full dashboard replaces the checklist once any of these is true:

  • A published version of your project has a segment group, a campaign, or a flow with a question or offer.
  • Your current draft has any campaign, published or not. The checklist only guides flows, so a campaign-only project goes straight to the full dashboard.
  • Your snippet is confirmed and you have a flow with a question or offer, or an enabled widget.

Projects managed by an agency always see the full dashboard. Until your first result, the Friday weekly report sends this same checklist.

Billing reactivation, failed payment, and an expired card-based trial show account notices instead of stale insight reports.

When a no-card trial ends without a confirmed plan, the whole dashboard is replaced by a card headed Your trial ended on date. It counts what you built during the trial, lists what's Locked until you add a card (RightMessage changes on your domain, Publishing changes, and Paid features in the editor and AI-agent (MCP) access), and what's Saved and waiting. Owners and billing managers can choose Enter your card details, or Confirm your plan if a card is saved, to add billing and switch everything back on. Collaborators see who can set up billing. When your trial ends without a plan has the details.

Confirmed seven-day snippet inactivity hides Activity, Working, and What's being tested now. Recovery offers the production snippet, installation help, and a check of your project's stored website. That check can be inconclusive. A missing script in the fetched HTML doesn't rule out a tag-manager installation. The check doesn't publish anything.

The external AI-assistant setup prompt copies connection instructions for your project. Installing assistant skills supplies instructions, not credentials. See Build a resource recommendation with an AI assistant. Promotional banners are separate from your measurements, and you can dismiss them.

Build a plan from your personalization audit

Already a customer? The free Personalization Audit can report on your own projects: choose Log in to audit your own projects there. When a report shows what you could personalize, Have us build this brings it back to your project's dashboard. You'll sign in first if you need to, and the project's website has to be the site the audit scanned.

The dashboard asks Build your personalization plan? before anything changes. Choose Build my plan, and Righty opens a new conversation, sets up each audience from your audit, and drafts the page changes for you to review. Nothing goes live until you publish. Choose Not now to leave your project as it is.

If the dashboard says "We couldn't load your audit report", open the report again and use Have us build this. A project you can't open isn't available from the audit.

Email summaries

Eligible recipients can receive a Friday weekly report and a Monday optimization email. RightMessage also sends unpublished-change reminders. These use different schedules from the dashboard's refresh and reporting windows.

See report email preferences and delivery. There isn't a daily customer report email, and standalone Needs attention emails aren't currently sent.
