View as MarkdownYou can keep up with your website through Friday performance reports and Monday optimization emails. Each has its own switch in your account's notification settings. This page explains who receives them, what they include, and how to turn them off.
Report schedules and eligibility
| When it sends | When your project qualifies | |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly performance report | Friday at noon in the America/New_York time zone. | The project must have report content. The normal selection looks for recent activity over seven days. Until the project's first result, the report sends its setup checklist instead. |
| Optimization email | Monday at noon in the America/New_York time zone. | Eligible trial projects can be included without traffic. Other selected active or free projects need recent pageview traffic. Active recommendations are required. |
These are scheduled send times, not guaranteed arrival times. Each eligible project can produce its own email. The subject lines are "Your RightMessage Weekly Report - project name" and "Your recommendations for this week: project name".
What the Friday report includes
The Friday report covers the last seven complete days in your project's time zone, compared with the seven days before. Its header names those dates, such as "Weekly report · Oct 24–30", and each section compares against the earlier week, such as "vs Oct 17–23". The dates won't necessarily match the range you've selected in the app.
Until your project has its first result, the report is the dashboard's setup checklist. It shows how many of the five steps you've finished, marks the next one, and links each step to where you complete it. The full report starts once your dashboard leaves the checklist. Any campaign in your project is enough for that.
After that, the report opens with the same sentence that leads your dashboard, then shows these sections when they have something to say:
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Needs attention | The most urgent open item from your dashboard, with its action and a count of the rest. Items you've hidden don't appear. |
| What moved | What drove the change in your main measurement. |
| Your Working cards | Each use of RightMessage with its numbers and change from the week before. A campaign lift appears as its own callout. Up to five campaign verdicts appear, then "and N more on your dashboard". |
| Recent results | Decided campaign tests, completed split tests, and what happened to your A/B tests this week. |
| Tests still collecting | Tests that are still gathering evidence. |
| Deployed winners | Original page winners deployed more than 30 days ago. |
| Lead alerts | Up to three people who triggered a lead alert that week, with the rules they matched. If your project can use lead alerts but has no rules, you get a one-line pointer to set them up instead. |
| Revenue | Revenue from connected payment sources, one line per currency, with the new and existing customer split once history has imported. It doesn't appear while history is still importing. |
The Friday report has no AI-written text. Every number comes from the same measurements as your dashboard, and a measurement RightMessage can't read shows "—" with its reason, not zero.
Recent results lists campaign A/B test events with the campaign and tested target, such as "A/B test · Coaching" or "A/B test · Original page", and a label like Started, Winner, Loser, Inconclusive, Can't reach a verdict, Paused (health issue), or Paused (campaign off). A completed split test names the version you kept, not a statistical winner. Deployed winners shows how long each winner has been deployed, not whether your website matches it yet. Needs attention handles that check.
When nothing is being tested, the report can end with a suggestion for a messaging test.
What the Monday email includes
The Monday email lists the recommendations your dashboard shows, numbered, with each one's area, reasoning, and supporting numbers. Its action is Build with Righty, Upgrade to plan for a recommendation your plan doesn't include, or Continue draft for one Righty has already started a draft for, tagged In draft. All recommendations at the top opens Optimizations.
Righty builds a draft. Nothing goes live until you review and publish it.
Turn report emails on or off
- Open Your account (the avatar at the bottom of the sidebar), then Notifications.
- Under Email, turn Weekly performance report (Fridays) or Optimization ideas (Mondays) on or off.
Each switch saves as soon as you change it. Both are on unless you've turned them off. If you'd turned off weekly report emails before the two were split, both start off.
These switches apply to your user account across all your projects. There isn't a separate switch for each project. Reports go to the email you sign in with, which you can change in Your account > Profile.
Daily generation isn't a daily email
RightMessage schedules optimization generation daily at 11:30 p.m. in the America/New_York timezone. This supplies recommendation data. It doesn't send a daily customer email or apply the ideas for you.
An emailed suggestion is something you can review. Opening its build conversation doesn't put it live. You'll still need to publish the changes.
Unpublished-change reminders
RightMessage can send a reminder to the user who saved an unpublished draft. A changed draft schedules the reminder for one hour later. Another qualifying save moves that deadline. RightMessage sends the reminder only if the saved draft and its contents still match when the deadline arrives.
Publishing clears the pending reminder. The reminder doesn't publish anything for you. It's separate from weekly reports, and a cooldown limits how often reminders can be sent.
The notification switches don't control these reminders. When you receive one, review the project and publish only when the intended changes are ready.
When an expected report doesn't arrive
- Check that the matching switch is on in Your account > Notifications.
- Check the email address in Your account > Profile and your spam folder.
- Check that the project has report content or active recommendations. Without these, it may not produce an email.
You can check Needs attention on the dashboard whenever you need to. Don't rely on a separate attention email to monitor those issues.
If eligible reports are still missing, contact support with the project name, recipient address, and expected report date. Leave out visitor records and payment details.
