April 2025 — Write-in syncing, faster surveys, and better tracking
Save write-in answers to your email platform, paste answer choices into surveys, and keep visitor tracking up to date when your site changes pages without reloading.

View as MarkdownYou can now send visitors' write-in answers to your email platform and build multiple-choice questions with less typing. April also brings clearer on-site debugging and better tracking for websites that change pages without a full reload.
Save the words behind an “Other” answer
When someone chooses “Other” and explains their answer, you can now save that text to a custom field in your connected email platform. Choose a destination under 'Other' write-ins in your question's sync settings, so those details are available for your follow-up rather than only inside RightMessage. See how to map answers to contact fields.
Paste your answer choices instead of adding them one by one
You can paste a list into an answer field and have RightMessage split it into separate choices. Adding a choice also moves your cursor straight into the new field, so you can keep typing without another click. Open a multiple-choice question to edit its choices, or use Add answer to extend the list; the question settings reference covers the available controls.
See the visitor data your personalization uses
The on-site debugger now gives you a searchable view of the data available to Liquid, alongside each value for the current visitor. Open Liquid and use Filter by Liquid path to find what you need before putting it into personalized content. Liquid in website text and HTML changes also renders correctly with visitor data; the debugger guide explains how to inspect your site.
Keep tracking when your website changes pages without reloading
RightMessage now detects address changes made by your website, including browser back and forward navigation. It records the new page view and refreshes visitor context and synchronization, rather than continuing to work from the first page's details. If you save campaign details to contact fields, you can review those mappings in lead attribution settings.
Style form inputs without changing the rest of your widget
Custom widget CSS now includes a dedicated selector for form input fields. You can target those fields separately from answer buttons and the widget container in Design → Advanced → Custom CSS. The widget CSS guide lists the supported selectors and explains how styles stay scoped to one widget.
Smaller improvements and fixes
- Bar-widget forms stack their fields and buttons more cleanly on phones, with inputs sized to fit the available width.
- Toaster close buttons are positioned correctly again, and full-screen takeover forms have more consistent spacing.
- Campaign goals can record conversions on matching pages even when that page doesn't contain a personalization change.
- Widget debugging explains which trigger made a widget appear, including time delays, scrolling, and exit intent.
- The visual editor shows readable segment names instead of exposing their HTML formatting.
