Add RightMessage to your Squarespace site so you can ask visitors questions and show relevant offers. Site-wide header code covers your pages without a code block on each one.

Add the snippet to your site

You'll need a RightMessage project, permission to edit code injection, and a Squarespace Core, Plus, or Advanced plan. Some legacy plans also include code injection. Check your account's features rather than assuming the current Basic plan includes it.

  1. In RightMessage, select your project and open Settings > JavaScript Snippet under Project.
  2. Keep Live website selected and copy the full Snippet Code.

  1. In Squarespace, open Code Injection. Its code injection guide (opens in a new tab) links directly to the panel if your navigation differs.
  2. Paste the snippet into Header, including its script tags. Keep any other code already there.
  3. Choose Save and make sure your pages are published and visible to the visitors you want to reach.

Saving applies the code to your site. RightMessage's Publish action is separate, and anything you've already published in RightMessage can appear once the snippet runs. Check for an existing installation first so you don't add a second copy.

Header code goes inside your pages' <head>. Squarespace checkout pages don't support code injection, so they aren't covered.

Only want RightMessage on one page? See the Squarespace page-level option and template limits.

Check that it's working

  1. Open your public site outside the Squarespace editor. The editor can disable scripts even when they run for visitors.
  2. Follow your consent prompt if it controls the snippet.
  3. In RightMessage, open Settings > JavaScript Snippet and look for a recent timestamp in Snippet Health.

A recent timestamp means RightMessage is receiving data. Use the debugger to see what it's showing on your pages.

If no data arrives, follow installation troubleshooting.

Next, build a resource recommendation in the app.
