Add RightMessage to your Instapage landing page so you can ask questions and personalize what visitors see. The page-level script settings cover all its variations.

Add the snippet to your page

You'll need a RightMessage project and permission to edit custom scripts and publish or update the Instapage page. Instapage's custom-code guide (opens in a new tab) doesn't name a separate minimum plan for page scripts. Workspace-wide scripts are a separate account capability.

  1. In RightMessage, select your project and open Settings > JavaScript Snippet under Project.
  2. Keep Live website selected and copy Snippet Code.

  1. In Instapage, click your landing page's name to open its slideout, then open Scripts & Privacy.
  2. Paste the JavaScript into Header. Remove the <!-- RightMessage --> comment and the opening and closing <script> tags. Instapage supplies those tags.
  3. If you use Cookie Bar, configure it to match your consent requirements.
  4. Save and publish or update the page.

Scripts here wait for acceptance when the Cookie Bar is enabled. Including your own script tags can bypass that behavior. Instapage's Cookie Bar guide (opens in a new tab) explains its consent controls.

This covers every variation of this page, not every page in your workspace. Use only one installation per page. Any questions, offers, or personalizations already published in RightMessage can appear once the snippet runs.

For a single variation or several pages, see the Instapage installation options.

Check that it's working

  1. Open your published landing page. Instapage runs custom JavaScript on the live site, not in its editor or preview.
  2. Follow the consent prompt if enabled, and visit the variations where RightMessage should run.
  3. In RightMessage, open Settings > JavaScript Snippet and look for a recent timestamp in Snippet Health.

A recent timestamp means RightMessage is receiving data. Use the debugger to see what it's showing on the page.

If no data arrives, follow installation troubleshooting.

Next, build a resource recommendation in the app.
