Righty, external assistants, and draft safety questions

You can ask Righty or a connected AI assistant to help plan and build changes in your project. These answers explain what each can do, what you need to review, and when your visitors see the changes.

How is Righty different from an external AI assistant?

Righty works inside RightMessage, while an external assistant connects through MCP and keeps its own conversation history.

Righty's dock knows which page and resource you're viewing. It holds your conversations, approval cards, and records of changes. An external assistant has its own conversation and approval interface. You authorize its connection and confirm the project it should work in.

The MCP authorization reference explains access. To try building something, follow the AI assistant guide. Connecting MCP doesn't grant every paid feature. Each operation still needs the project's entitlement and your access.

Can I show Righty a screenshot or a file?

Yes. Attach images, PDFs, or plain text, Markdown, CSV, or JSON files to a message with the paperclip, by pasting, or by dropping them onto the composer. Righty reads them with your message. See attach files for the limits.

Can Righty change segments I created manually?

Yes. Righty can edit existing resources, including segments you created yourself.

Name what you want to keep unchanged. Ask it to inspect the segment and where it's used before making edits. Afterward, read the change card and check the actual rules. A shared segment can affect several flows, widgets, or campaigns.

If a change involves deletion, Righty needs your consent through a Needs your OK card. Approving a plan doesn't approve a later deletion.

Can an assistant help plan a survey before building it?

Yes. Ask it to suggest what to learn about visitors, how to word the questions, and where each answer should lead before it makes changes.

For example, WorkForge (opens in a new tab) could ask for a short survey about team size that recommends a suitable planning guide.

A public assistant skill supplies instructions for this work. Installing a skill doesn't connect your account, select the correct project, or create credentials. You still need to connect the assistant and confirm the project.

Can an assistant match a widget to my website?

Yes, it can help with supported widget styling settings. Tell it which widget to change, which real page to match, and what design choices to keep. Ask for a draft rather than a broad redesign.

Check the colors, typography, spacing, mobile layout, and both themes in the preview on your site.

Can an assistant build a landing page for me?

Yes, with Pages, on every plan. Righty or a connected AI assistant can build and edit a hosted landing page, and set up the page's audiences and A/B tests. Audiences go live from Scale, and A/B tests start on Pro. On your own website, RightMessage personalizes the pages you already have. See hosted pages.

Can Righty write different page copy for each audience?

Yes. Website personalization on Scale or Pro includes Righty help inside the campaign editor.

Choose Ask Righty for options on a selected text element to get four choices. Nothing changes until you choose Use this. In Matrix, Fill empty cells keeps existing changes, while Rewrite with Righty starts a conversation about selected cells and asks what you want to change before writing.

Review the saved copy by audience before publishing. Write page copy with Righty explains the controls and whole-turn Undo.

Do assistant changes immediately affect the live website?

Most configuration changes stay in draft until you publish. Righty can't publish. A connected external assistant with publishing access can publish when you tell it to.

Other actions don't necessarily wait. Integration changes, exports, feedback, support actions, and separately stored resources can take effect immediately or have their own steps. See drafts and immediate actions.

A draft resource A/B test needs its own start action. Publishing alone doesn't start it.

Righty can set up a campaign A/B test, write its challenger versions, and read its verdicts, but it never starts, restarts, ends, undeploys, or publishes. You do those from the Testing tab. A connected external assistant can call start-audience-test, restart-audience-test, end-audience-test, and undeploy-original-winner when you ask; they change the draft only, and starting or restarting requires Pro. What should I review myself?

Check the project, changed resources, conditions, shared uses, integration destinations, and whether the changes are published. Then test the visitor's full path.

If you're trying to update a contact, check the destination record. If you're trying to improve conversions, use a suitable report or experiment to measure the change.

Can I undo an unexpected change?

Sometimes. Righty offers Undo only when it has enough saved evidence and the current state is still safe and unchanged. You can't undo deletions from chat, and undo doesn't reverse every external action. Stop interrupts Righty but doesn't undo work it has already saved.

Read Righty's change cards and undo rules. If needed, restore a saved version to a draft, review it, and decide whether to publish. Check what already happened before asking an assistant to repeat or reverse a change.

Does Righty replace human support?
