Offer content and personalization reference
You'll find the settings for offer text, buttons, personalized images, and fallback wording, plus the controls for previewing each audience.
Use the Content tab to choose what an offer says, which image it shows, and where its button goes. Forms share the text and image controls. Their submission settings live in Actions instead.
Text and button settings
| To change… | Use this control |
|---|---|
| The offer heading | Headline. Rich text, with selected words or sentences that can become personalized phrases. |
| The text below the heading | Description. Optional rich text that can include personalized phrases. |
| What the button says | Button text. It can include personalized phrases. |
| Where the button goes | Link URL. Available for link offers. |
| Whether the link replaces the current page | Open in a new tab. Available for link offers. |
| The offer image | Image. Use one shared image or change it by answer. The widget theme controls how it appears. |
The preview shows the audience combination you've selected. Teal phrases show that audience's wording in the editor. Preview filters don't change a real visitor's answers.
Personalized phrases and fallbacks
The phrase dialog lets you choose one question or segment group, fallback wording, and wording for particular answers. Save is available once you've selected a group and entered a nonempty fallback.
Visitors see the fallback when their answer is unknown or doesn't have its own wording. For WorkForge (opens in a new tab), your next project could become your team's next project for a team audience.
You can edit an existing phrase or remove its personalization. Removing personalization replaces it with the fallback text. A shared phrase or offer can appear in more places than the preview you're looking at.
See which fields are personalized
The personalized content section appears when your content has personalized phrases. It lists the fields and question groups they use. Edit opens an existing phrase.
The variant count multiplies the available states across those groups, including Not known. Two groups with several answers can create many combinations without a separate offer for each.
These combinations follow visitors' answers. They aren't random A/B test assignments, and comparing them doesn't establish that one version caused more conversions. A/B testing is a separate feature.
Image settings
| If you'd like to… | Choose this mode |
|---|---|
| Show one image to everyone | Same for everyone. Select or upload an image. Where supported, choose a point on its preview to set the focus, or use Reset to clear it. |
| Show an image that fits their answer | Changes by answer. Choose a question or group, set a default image, and add images for particular answers. |
In answer-based mode, Choose image or Replace opens the image picker. Use default removes one answer's override. Answers without an override use the default image. Choosing an answer tile also filters the preview to that answer.
Focal-point editing is available in Same for everyone, not in the answer-specific picker. Choosing an image group clears the focal point. Switching to a different group also clears answer-specific image overrides. Returning to Same for everyone uses the previous default image and clears the focal point.
Replacing or removing the shared image clears its focal point. Removing it from an offer leaves the file in the gallery.
Some widget themes don't display an image. Check the widget that will actually show your offer, not just the generic offer preview. See widget design settings and shared images.
Preview different audiences
Previous variant and Next variant move through the current combinations. Each group filter accepts Any, Not known, or a specific answer. Clear removes active filters, and Highlight personalized text marks the phrases that change.
The variant number tells you where you are in the preview. It isn't a ranking or an A/B test assignment. Check the default and any combinations with longer headlines or buttons. Wording that fits on desktop can wrap differently in a narrow widget.
For the steps, see review the combinations.
Shared content and editing locks
The usage banner tells you how many flows use the offer or form. See where opens those uses in the full editor. Content edits apply everywhere you reuse the item. Duplicate it when another flow needs independent wording.
A running A/B test locks content editing. Forms also lock Fields and Actions during draft and running tests, but not completed tests. Saving changes your project draft. Publish the changes when you're ready for visitors to see them.
Other ways to create an offer
Alongside Blank, the creation screen offers Copy an offer and Draft with Righty. Select the source for a copy, or describe the offer's purpose for Righty. A copy includes the source's content and personalization but starts with fresh reporting data.
Find and manage your offers
Use List or Grid to browse. All, In use, and Unused filter by whether a flow uses the offer, not whether it's enabled. You can also filter by flow. Search offers matches offer and flow names, and Clear filters removes the filters you've selected.
Sort by most or fewest shown, most or fewest clicks, highest or lowest rate, or name. The date selector changes the reporting period. Widget and offer reporting explains those numbers.
Uses in the full editor shows which flows and widgets use the offer. The header lets you rename it or change Enabled. More actions lets you duplicate or delete it. A duplicate is independent of the original. Pausing or deleting an offer affects your live website after publication.
