Connected app embed node reference
Show connected app content on your website. You'll find the content, placement, and page settings here, plus what happens when an account disconnects.
A connected app embed node lets you place app content directly on your website as part of a flow. RightMessage currently supports Senja widgets and Walls of Love. This node isn't a field for arbitrary HTML or iframes.
When to use it
Use an embed when you want a flow to show content from a connected app. For example, WorkForge (opens in a new tab) could place a Senja Wall of Love in its customer-story section.
A connected app adds its node under Display. You can also use app embeds in system flows because they render into the page rather than a RightMessage widget.
Settings
The screenshot shows a saved selection with a disconnected account, not a live Senja connection.
A new Senja node starts with no content selected, a blank element selector, Below placement, and no page restriction.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Content | Chooses a provider widget or Wall of Love. Senja groups choices under Widgets and Walls of Love. |
| Page URL or path | Sets the page you'll open in the element picker. Relative paths use your project's website. |
| Pick on my site | Opens the element picker when you've entered a valid page URL. |
| Above, Below, Inside | Places content before, after, or within the selected element. |
| Advanced | Opens manual targeting controls. |
| CSS selector | Identifies the page element to place the embed beside or inside. |
| Pages | Restricts which pages can show the embed. |
Pick a page element
Pick on my site opens your chosen page so you can select one element. It saves the CSS selector and your Above, Below, or Inside placement. Once a selector exists, the editor shows a placement summary. You can change the selector directly under Advanced.
When the picker returns a page path, it also replaces the embed's page rule with a current-page match for that path. Check Pages after picking, especially if you want the embed on several pages.
Typing a different Page URL or path only changes which page opens in the picker. It doesn't change Pages by itself.
Floating widgets
Senja controls the placement of its floating designs, including popup, toast, and recent-sales widgets. Those designs don't show the same element-target controls. A Wall of Love or nonfloating widget needs a page element to target.
Switching to floating content keeps your page rules but removes the element target. If you switch back to nonfloating content, the selector starts blank with Below placement. You'll need to pick the target again. The old selector isn't restored.
How visitors move through it
When the flow reaches the embed, the node places the app content on the page and continues to the next step. Its page rules and target must match for the content to appear.
The embed doesn't collect a RightMessage form submission or book an appointment. A missing selector, nonmatching page rule, unavailable provider content, or blocked provider script can prevent it from showing.
Things to know
Loading and missing content
The content selector is disabled while choices load. If the request fails, you'll see the error and Try again, or a reconnect link if the account's authorization needs renewal.
If saved content is no longer in the provider account, the editor shows a missing-content notice and the saved selection's name. The saved name alone doesn't mean that content still works on your website.
Disconnecting doesn't remove a saved embed
Disconnecting the account doesn't automatically remove an embed from your live website. You can still edit its saved selection, but you'll need to reconnect to load new choices. To stop showing it, remove the embed from the flow and publish.
Before publishing, check that the provider content, page rules, and target all match. If the flow isn't reaching the embed, use flow routing troubleshooting.
