# Install RightMessage on Wix

You'll add RightMessage through Wix Custom Code and check that it runs on your published domain as visitors move between pages.

Add RightMessage to your Wix site so you can ask visitors questions and personalize your pages. Use the dashboard's custom-code settings rather than a visible HTML iframe, so RightMessage can run on the website itself.

## Add the snippet to your site

You'll need a [RightMessage project](https://rightmessage.com/help/create-an-account), permission to manage Wix custom code, and a published Wix site with a connected domain. Your plan must support that domain connection. A free Wix URL isn't enough.

1. In RightMessage, select your project and open **Settings** > **JavaScript Snippet** under **Project**.
2. Keep **Live website** selected and copy the full **Snippet Code**, including its script tags.

3. In your Wix dashboard, open **Settings** > **Development & integrations** > **Custom Code**.
4. Choose **+ Add Custom Code**, paste the snippet, and name it `RightMessage`.
5. Under **Add Code to Pages**, choose **All pages** to cover current and future pages.
6. Choose to load the code **once per visit**, not on each page. RightMessage handles URL changes without another copy of the snippet.
7. Under **Place Code in**, select **Head**.
8. Choose **Apply** and check that the code is enabled.
9. Publish any pending website changes.

Check for an existing RightMessage installation before adding the code. Questions, offers, and personalizations you've already published can appear as soon as it runs.

Use a consent category that matches your site's policy. Don't mark tracking code essential just to make it run before consent.

Only want RightMessage on selected pages? See the [Wix page-selection option](https://rightmessage.com/help/everything-you-need-to-know-about-your-rightmessage-tracking-script#wix-selected-pages).

## Check that it's working

1. Open your connected domain outside the editor. Follow the consent prompt if it controls the snippet.
2. Follow an internal link to another page where RightMessage should run.
3. In RightMessage, open **Settings** > **JavaScript Snippet** and look for a recent timestamp in **Snippet Health**.

A recent timestamp means RightMessage is receiving data. Use the [debugger](https://rightmessage.com/help/best-practices-for-testing) to check what it's showing as you move between pages.

If no data arrives, check that the code is enabled on the connected domain, then follow [installation troubleshooting](https://rightmessage.com/help/common-set-up-issues). Wix associates snippets with a domain and deletes them when you assign a different domain, so repeat this setup after a domain change.

Wix's [custom-code guide](https://support.wix.com/en/article/adding-a-custom-tracking-code-to-your-site) also covers frontend-security restrictions that can block third-party code. Share the affected URL and browser error with support rather than bypassing those protections.
