# Install RightMessage on Leadpages

You'll add RightMessage to your Leadpages page or site, publish the code, and check that visitor data is reaching your project.

Add RightMessage to your Leadpages page or site so you can ask visitors questions and show relevant offers. You'll use the builder's head tracking-code field.

## Add the snippet to your page or site

You'll need a [RightMessage project](https://rightmessage.com/help/create-an-account) and permission to edit and publish in a Leadpages builder with **Settings** > **Analytics** and custom tracking-code fields. Leadpages' [tracking-code instructions](https://support.leadpages.com/hc/en-us/articles/115007582368-Third-party-tracking-and-analytics) don't name a separate plan upgrade.

Leadpages has several editor generations. These steps use its third-party tracking controls, not the reporting screen in **New Leadpages**. If your editor doesn't have these fields, ask Leadpages where it supports custom scripts. Don't use a Google Analytics ID field or assume an HTML embed can access the whole page.

1. In RightMessage, select your project and open **Settings** > **JavaScript Snippet** under **Project**.
2. Keep **Live website** selected and copy the full **Snippet Code**, including its script tags.

3. Open your landing page or site in the Leadpages builder.
4. Choose **Settings** in the left sidebar, then **Analytics**. Older videos call this **Page Tracking**.
5. Paste the snippet into the head-section tracking-code field. Keep any other scripts already there.
6. Choose **Save**, then **Update** for a published page or site. For a new page or site, finish publishing it so it has a public URL.

In the landing-page builder, this covers only that landing page. Repeat the setup for other standalone landing pages you want to use. In the site builder, tracking settings cover the whole site rather than individual pages.

Keep one copy on each page. Check for an existing installation through your website, WordPress plugin, or tag manager before adding another. Any questions, offers, or personalizations already published in RightMessage can appear once the snippet runs.

## Check that it's working

1. Open the published URL outside the editor and follow your consent prompt if required.
2. If you publish through WordPress or another server, check the final public page. It needs one copy of the snippet, wherever you edited it.
3. In RightMessage, open **Settings** > **JavaScript Snippet** and look for a recent timestamp in **Snippet Health**.

A recent timestamp means RightMessage is receiving data. Use the [debugger](https://rightmessage.com/help/best-practices-for-testing) to see what it's showing on your landing pages.

If no data arrives, follow [installation troubleshooting](https://rightmessage.com/help/common-set-up-issues).
