# Embed a widget on an existing page

You'll put a survey or form inside one of your existing pages, then check its position and content before publishing.

Available on the Grow, Scale, and Pro plans.

Put your questions, form, or offer inside an existing page without replacing your page builder. An inline widget can appear beside content that's already on your site.

You'll need an [inline widget with an attached flow](https://rightmessage.com/help/creating-and-designing-widgets), project edit access, and the RightMessage snippet on the destination site. Choose **Embedded** when creating it from **Widgets**. Add the website to your project's settings so you can choose it in the visual picker.

## Pick a spot on your page

Choose a real page where the flow would help your visitors. For example, [WorkForge](https://workforge.rightmessage.com) could put a survey on its [contact page](https://workforge.rightmessage.com/contact.html).

1. Open the widget's **Display** tab and expand **Where it appears**.
2. Choose **Pick spots on your site**.
3. Select the website beside **Pick a spot**.
4. Choose **Pick a spot**, then browse to your destination page in the picker.
5. Select the page element and its position.
6. Review the saved spot's **Page** and **Where on the page** settings.

Choose a stable element, such as the main article area, rather than one tied to a changing list position. The editor warns about selectors containing `:nth-child`.

Prefer to paste code into your page builder? You can use **Paste embed code** instead. The [inline placement reference](https://rightmessage.com/help/widget-display-reference#inline-placement) covers that method, manual spots, and how to change or remove a placement.

## Check what visitors will see

1. Review **Question handling** so the flow asks the right questions for new and returning visitors.
2. Turn **Enabled** on when the widget is ready.
3. Choose **Preview on your site** in the bottom bar. Use **Choose preview URL** to open the page where you placed the widget.
4. Check its position, answer the questions, and follow the flow through to its offer or form.

The debugger opens at the bottom of the page. Use it to see what RightMessage knows about you and which flow path you're following. Your flow needs visible content for that visitor, even when the placement is correct. See [testing your changes](https://rightmessage.com/help/best-practices-for-testing) to try new and returning visitors.

## Go live

[Review and publish your changes](https://rightmessage.com/help/publishing-your-changes), then visit the destination page like any other visitor. It's working when the widget appears in the spot you picked and visitors can complete the flow.

To put the same survey on more pages, add placement spots or reuse its embed code. Use separate widgets attached to the same flow when you need different designs or question-handling settings.
