# September 2026 — Low-score routing, draft testing, and steadier Righty chats

Route quizzes by the lowest score, test drafts without adding to your reports, and pick up interrupted Righty conversations without starting over.

You can now recommend a next step based on someone's lowest score, keep staging visits out of your reports, and recover an interrupted Righty conversation. September also brings more dependable contact syncing and fewer snags while editing and testing.

## Pick up an interrupted Righty conversation

A page reload or dropped connection no longer has to mean starting your request again. Reopen the conversation in **Righty** to reconnect to its saved progress; clearer errors offer actions such as **Retry observation**, **Reload turn**, or **Retry request**, depending on what stopped. Starting a new conversation also keeps the previous one instead of deleting it. [See how Righty conversations work](https://rightmessage.com/help/righty-reference).

## Recommend help for someone's lowest score

An assessment can now point visitors toward the area where they need the most help, rather than their strongest score. Open a **High Score** node and turn on **Lowest score wins**, or **Lowest value wins** when comparing variables. Your scores stay unchanged, and the order of tied branches still decides which path wins. [Set up score-based routing](https://rightmessage.com/help/score-and-route-a-quiz).

## Test your drafts without inflating your reports

In **Snippet Code**, choose **Staging / development** for a snippet that loads your latest draft and disables analytics collection, or **Live website** for your published setup. You can also use **Analytics filtering** to exclude a staging domain or IPv4 address while keeping forms, widgets, and flows working; publish those rules to apply them. ## Show personalized content with less waiting

Content that doesn't need your email platform's data can now appear without waiting for its contact lookup, while recently fetched contact data can be reused for display. **Smart Match** also handles large pages more efficiently and follows the target saved in the visual editor more faithfully, including pages with repeated text. [Learn how page targeting works](https://rightmessage.com/help/how-the-point-and-click-personalization-selector-works).

## Keep answers collected before signup

**Set Data** field and tag changes made before a visitor identifies themselves now carry through after a successful form submission, rather than getting dropped. HubSpot visitors are recognized from their submitted email even when its tracking script is still loading, and fixes restore individual question-field updates and adding contacts to lists. [Check your answer mappings](https://rightmessage.com/help/synchronizing-contact-data-with-your-email-platform-or-crm).

## Keep editing email rules when mappings are missing

You can use available email-platform fields in **Advanced rules** even when you haven't mapped a question yet. Existing conditions and available fields remain editable when part of the field list fails to load, and clearer messages distinguish missing mappings from data that's still loading. [See email condition options](https://rightmessage.com/help/email-conditions-reference).

## See what setup is learning about your business

During setup, **Pages we're reading** shows which pages RightMessage is researching, alongside findings about your audience, offers, and voice as they arrive. The suggested playbook now includes a reason it fits your business, and you can continue with starter playbooks if research is taking a while. [See what to expect during setup](https://rightmessage.com/help/what-to-expect-from-ai-onboarding).

## Smaller improvements and fixes

- Failed form submissions show an inline error and keep the visitor's entries so they can retry without starting over.
- Long popups and takeovers scroll within the widget, and same-page anchor links dismiss the overlay before navigating.
- Large automatic segment groups open with collapsible condition editors instead of loading every editor at once.
- Visitor profiles no longer show blank timelines or carry over the wrong visitor's details when you switch profiles.
- Flow engagement exports and date-filtered lead exports work again.
- Unrelated background report requests no longer disable **Publish**.
- Your connected AI assistant can generate a preview link for visitors who don't match an audience; open it in a fresh private browser session.
- AI recommendations and report analysis now use your published setup instead of treating unfinished drafts as live content.
