The complete comparison

## Keep the landing page that already converts

Leadpages has added the tools teams running paid traffic ask for: dynamic text replacement, rules for each audience and A/B tests. The catch is where they work. [Leadpages says](https://leadpages.com/product/personalization) it personalizes pages published on its platform, so your page has to be built and hosted there first.

That's fine if you're starting fresh. It's a big job if your best landing pages already run on WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot or something your developers built, with forms, tracking and design you've already tuned. We work the other way around. Add our script to the page you have, choose an audience from your ad links, and change what they see. Your page, forms and hosting stay where they are.

1. Opened without campaign parameters

![Example landing page with its generic headline, customer quote and Book a demo button](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fhelp%2Fscreens%2Fmarketing-ad-match-before.light.webp\&w=3840\&q=90)![Example landing page with its generic headline, customer quote and Book a demo button](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fhelp%2Fscreens%2Fmarketing-ad-match-before.dark.webp\&w=3840\&q=90)

2. Opened from an agency ad

![The same landing page opened from an agency ad link, with the headline and customer quote rewritten for agencies](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fhelp%2Fscreens%2Fmarketing-ad-match-after.light.webp\&w=3840\&q=90)![The same landing page opened from an agency ad link, with the headline and customer quote rewritten for agencies](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fhelp%2Fscreens%2Fmarketing-ad-match-after.dark.webp\&w=3840\&q=90)

Same page, same URL. An example from our demo site.

## Change more than the headline

Dynamic text replacement is a good start. It swaps the headline to match the keyword or ad someone clicked. But the ad usually promised more than a headline can carry: a use case, a kind of customer, an offer.

In our visual editor you click any headline, image, testimonial, link or section on your real page and change it for one audience. Hide what they don't need, or show a section you've built for them. The Matrix lays out every element and every audience's version side by side, so you can check the whole campaign before it goes live.

Because you're changing one page rather than copying it, a form fix or a new testimonial lands on every version at once.

![The Matrix showing each page element with its original copy and the copy two audiences see](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fhelp%2Fscreens%2Fpersonalize-editor-matrix.light.webp\&w=3840\&q=90)![The Matrix showing each page element with its original copy and the copy two audiences see](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fhelp%2Fscreens%2Fpersonalize-editor-matrix.dark.webp\&w=3840\&q=90)

## Start with the ad, then use what you learn

Your ad links already say a lot. [UTMs](https://rightmessage.com/help/conditions-utm) and any custom parameter you add can pick the audience before someone fills in a form, and so can the site that sent them or the pages they've read.

Add a question to the page and use the answer to change what they see next. Once someone's identified, by a form or a click in your emails, tags and fields from your email platform or CRM can decide it too.

Quizzes, surveys and on-site CTAs are on every plan. Using answers to change your pages starts on Scale.

![An AD, an ANSWER and a CRM record each feed a line into one PAGE, whose orange headline all three shape together](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fcompare%2Fillustrations%2Fconnected-stack.webp\&w=3840\&q=75)

## See whether matching the ad paid off

Every campaign keeps a holdback: a share of matching visitors who still see your original page. New campaigns start at 10%. So when someone asks whether the matched page is working, you're comparing visitors from the same audience who saw different pages.

On Pro, you can also A/B test the page everyone sees or each audience's changes, with up to three challengers. We check every Friday and tell you in plain language when there's a verdict, or that there isn't one yet. Every version also goes to GA4, Google Tag Manager or PostHog.

![Campaign holdback card comparing personalized visitors with held-back visitors, with the likely range of the difference by week](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fhelp%2Fscreens%2Ftesting-holdback-card.light.webp\&w=3840\&q=90)![Campaign holdback card comparing personalized visitors with held-back visitors, with the likely range of the difference by week](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fhelp%2Fscreens%2Ftesting-holdback-card.dark.webp\&w=3840\&q=90)

Example data from our demo project. This campaign holds back 20% of visitors. New campaigns start at 10%.

## Where Leadpages goes further

Leadpages builds and hosts pages. Describe what you sell and it drafts one for you, and it handles forms, checkout, blogs and custom domains. We overlap for simple hosted pages. Pages, our landing page builder, can build and host a quick landing page in your brand, like a quiz page for ad traffic.

Leadpages also includes Anonymous Traffic Detection and Lead enrichment on Grow, at $99/mo, to show who's visiting before they fill in a form. Its [Optimize plan](https://leadpages.com/pricing) adds heatmaps and Smart Traffic, which sends each visitor to the variant it predicts will convert. We don't do any of those. If you want one place to build a whole site, blog and checkout included, Leadpages does more of that than we do.

![Four page outlines labeled YOUR SITE stay as they are except for one orange headline on a single page, marked ONE CHANGE](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fcompare%2Fillustrations%2Fone-campaign-setup.webp\&w=3840\&q=75)

## A price per project, for every site you run

Leadpages lists Grow at $99/mo and Optimize at $199/mo, billed monthly, with 20% off annually. Its trial is 7 days and needs a card.

Ours are on our [pricing page](https://rightmessage.com/pricing). You pay per project, so more visitors don't cost more. Personalization starts on Scale at $249/mo, or $199/mo billed annually, and A/B tests are on Pro at $499/mo, or $399/mo billed annually. Sign up and your first project gets every Pro feature for 14 days, with no card.

Running ads for clients? Each client site is its own project, wherever it's built. Agency accounts get a branded signup link for clients, and you open each client's project from your own account.

![Bars labeled TRAFFIC climb from left to right while an orange line marked YOUR PRICE stays flat across all of them](https://rightmessage.com/_next/image?url=%2Fcompare%2Fillustrations%2Fflat-project-pricing.webp\&w=3840\&q=75)

## Which one fits your job?

RightMessage

### Pick RightMessage if you want every ad to land on a page that matches, without a page per ad.

- Your best landing pages already live on your own site, and you want to keep them there.
- You want to change more than the headline for each ad: proof, images, offers and calls to action.
- You want on-site answers and CRM data to shape the page, as well as the ad link.
- You want a holdback on every campaign and a plain verdict each week.

That's marketing teams, teams running paid traffic and the agencies that run their campaigns.

Leadpages

### Pick Leadpages if you need a tool to build and host the pages themselves.

- You're starting from nothing and want AI to draft and host your landing pages.
- You want forms, checkout and a blog in the same builder.
- You want lead enrichment and heatmaps on the same bill.

If that's the job, Leadpages covers it in one place.

## Frequently asked questions

Does Leadpages personalization work on pages that aren't built in Leadpages?+

Not according to Leadpages. Its personalization page says it personalizes pages published on its platform, and that personalization works on any page published through Leadpages. To use it on a page you've built elsewhere, you'd rebuild that page in Leadpages first.

Is RightMessage a landing page builder?+

Partly, for simple pages. Most teams keep their stack and add RightMessage on top. We adapt the pages you already run for each visitor in real time, on any site where you can add our script, and add on-site questions, forms and calls to action to them. If you want us to set up and host a page fast, Pages builds and hosts it with personalization built in. That overlaps with Leadpages for simple hosted pages, but it isn't a full page-builder replacement. Publishing pages needs Scale or Pro.

Can I use RightMessage on my Leadpages pages?+

Yes. Add our snippet in the Leadpages builder's tracking code settings, following [our Leadpages setup guide](https://rightmessage.com/help/leadpages-landing-pages), and you can personalize those pages alongside the rest of your site.

What's the difference between dynamic text replacement and RightMessage?+

Dynamic text replacement drops the keyword or ad text into your headline. We let you write a different headline, image, testimonial and call to action for each audience, choose that audience from your ad links, referrers, on-site answers or CRM, and measure it against a holdback.

How does Leadpages pricing compare with RightMessage?+

Leadpages lists Pro at $29/mo and Business at $49/mo for publishing, then Grow at $99/mo and Optimize at $199/mo for testing and personalization, billed monthly with 20% off annually. Its personalization page also mentions a Scale plan at $399/mo, so confirm current packaging with Leadpages. Grow $99, Scale $249, or Pro $499 per month, or $79, $199, or $399 per month billed annually. The plans have no per-visitor or contact fees. Website personalization and holdback measurement start on Scale, and page and audience A/B tests are on Pro. Lead alerts are an optional add-on on every plan, priced by alerted leads from $49 a month for 50 ($39 a month billed annually), with 1,000 a month included on Pro. Prices last checked November 1, 2026.

Can RightMessage identify the company behind an anonymous visit?+

No. We don't identify companies from an anonymous visit or IP address. To target by industry or account, pass the value on your ad links, ask for it on your site, or use a field in your CRM once someone's identified.

Which RightMessage plan do I need to match pages to ads?+

Scale. Page personalization and the campaign holdback start on Scale, at $249/mo, or $199/mo billed annually. Pro adds page and audience A/B tests, plus HubSpot and Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot), at $499/mo, or $399/mo billed annually.
